Special mention must go to this queen of roses - a beautiful and delicate pink rose that flourishes in these desert climes. According to the garden experts here in Doha, a Saudi Sheikh made a special request of the rose cultivationists in England - "make me a rose that smells like a rose".
This hybrid rose was soon cultivated and now lives happily in gardens across the Middle East. It truly has the most intense perfume ever. It smells like a little bit of heaven.
Hopefully, with a bit of research, a bit of tenacity, and a bit of luck; I will find this rose in my home town and be able to plant it in my garden.
